OUR MISSION
We embrace one another without judgement, regardless of personalities, challenging behaviors and delays. It is our aim to celebrate and honor your child right where they are today and everyday. We pride ourselves on having an environment with small class sizes to enhance structured learning opportunities. We demonstrate the importance of nurturing by providing positive behavioral supports.
It is our mission to provide a positive, fun, nurturing and sensory-filled environment which is ideal for children who learn best through movement, sensory integration, small-size classes and structured learning opportunities.
We shall be offering a variety of different classes for the ages of 3 years and over. Our qualified personnel shall support the individual needs of each child by providing structured routines and activities, smooth transition and positive behavior support.
WHAT TO EXPECT
An assessment will be carried out after booking with one of our qualified staff members. Areas of assessment include social skills, gross and fine motor skills, the ability to follow 2-3 step instructions, self - help skills, group participation and emotional regulation. We will work with your child to teach structured routines building patience for activities, smooth transition, gymnastics movement and most importantly providing a sensory - filled experience for our learners.
Our diverse programs target social – emotional development, nurture social skills, communication, engagement and confidence through movement and play.
CLASSES
The Fostering Friendship classes (Group, Semi-Private or Private options) will be a combination of gymnastics, sensory experience, yoga poses, breathing exercises and mindfulness activities! This 45-minute class begins with an introduction to yoga poses, then moves onto sensory-based obstacle courses led by their Instructor/Coach. Finally, class ends with a mindfulness activity to build emotional regulation and awareness over time. Our trained staff incorporates a variety of positive reinforcement strategies to grow gross and fine motor development. We use a behavioral approach in teaching to develop social and emotional communication skills on all levels.
Our Free-Play Sunday sessions will allow parents/guardians to attend with their child/ren to explore movement In a safe and quiet gym environment. They are encouraged to explore and try the equipment, play games, interact with others and build on gross motor skills as well as problem solving skills. These sessions are a great way to have children acclimate into a gymnastics setting without any pressure on them. Free-play sessions allow children to develop their gross motor skills, sensory system, independence and social skills without the structure of a class. Parents/Guardians will be present in the gym and additional support from staff will be provided.
SOCIAL PLAY
We use the gym environment to facilitate positive social interactions. Through group and free-play classes, we provide our students with a supported environment to practice social communication and gain confidence among peers.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to create an inclusive, safe, and encouraging environment for all learners to feel personally successful. We emphasize our students’ “proud moments” and believe firmly in the power of learning through movement and recreational play.
