The Maltese group was accompanied by the Bulgarian coach Plamen Angelov and Kristina Schranz. The latter also acted as a judge on behalf of Gymstars throughout the competition. In the elite group Francesca Borg and Martina Galea showed off their talent throughout the competition and found themselves at the 12th and 10th overall positions in their respective categories.
