GymStars Events: 2003-2005
November
2003 - Trojan Cup, Dublin (Ireland)
GymStars gymnastics club participated in the first ever international competition. Even though this was the club's first trip abroad, the athletes succeeded in winning 27 medals and also brought home the Trojan Cup.
June
2004 - National Championships, (Malta)
GymStars hosted the National Championships competition organised by the Malta Gymnastics Federation. GymStars' gymnasts did very well winning numerous medals and trophies. Their talent was also rewarded by being chosen for the Malta National teams.
July
2004 - International Club Team & Individual Invitational Competition,
Malta
This competition was the first of its kind to be organised by GymStars. It was not only an organisational success but it was a very satisfactory competition for our athletes. Clubs from UK (Milton Keynes and Colchester), The Channel Islands (Jersey) and Malta (Gymstars and Birkirkara clubs) took part to woe the audience with a spectacular array of gymnastics. The club's gymnasts proved to be tough competition for their adversaries and brought home a total of 64 medals.
July
2004 - Training Camp, Malta
Milton Keynes Club (UK) and the Regent Club of Jersey (Channel Islands) stayed over after the competition for a training camp organised by the club. The training camp, that lasted a week, was packed with gymnastics and social activities. The club organised various training sessions where the foreign and local clubs could share their gymnastics experiences. Also the camp included several outdoor activities such as swimming, football matches and a trip to Comino.

2004 - International Competition, Cottbus (Germany)
The Boys' Club Team was taken to Cottbus were they participated in a very competitive event. The event saw the participation of elite teams from Eastern European countries. It was a tough match for our competitors from which they gained a lot of experience.
October
2004 - International Competition, Rushmore (UK)
GymStars took part in yet another international competition overseas. The club competed against several other teams from all over the world. Gymnasts from Australia, Canada, Bermuda, Wales and Ireland competed in this competition to show a very high level of gymnastics.

2005 - International Competition, Belgium
Three teams from GymStars gymnastics club competed in this international competition. Even though the competition from the foreign teams was tough, our gymnasts managed to bring home several medals, including a bronze medal in the Girls' Team Competition.
July
2005 - International Competition, Malta
GymStars organised its second International Competition. This competition was more competitive than the previous year where 5 teams from the UK, a club from Cyprus and several local clubs took part.
September
2005 - International Competition, Italy
A group of gymnasts from GymStars Club competed in an international competition in Italy where clubs from all over Italy, Austria, Belgium and France took their best competitors to represent them.The 65 gymnasts that took part in the competition gave a show and talent and skills which made it tough for our home athletes. However, we had very succesful results thanks to their hard work and perseverance. Francesca Borg, Audrey Schembri, Roxanne Bonnici and Nicolette Schembri placed 9th, 11th, 12th and 13th place overall respectively.
November
2005 - Trojan Cup, Dublin (Ireland)
For the third consecutive year, GymStars participated in the annual Trojan Cup organised in Dublin, Ireland. A strong club team made up of 10 gymnasts, accompanied by club coaches Angelov Plamen and Inika Camilleri, stormed the competition and came home with a total of 28 medals. This competition has proved to be a success for the local gymnasts in terms of results and experience. For this reason GymStars has kept this event permanently on its events calendar.
December
2005 - National Championships, Malta
For the second consecutive year, GymStars took part in the National Championships competition organised by the Malta Gymnastics Federation. Several local clubs took part in this event as it is the most important and competitive local competition. GymStars Club proved once again that even though quite new, they are able to compete well against well established clubs. In fact during this competition they won the highest amount of medals. Also, Francesca Borg and Philip Caruana Turner were crowned National Champions in the Elite Girls and Boys competitions respectively.
December
2005 - Christmas Gymnastics and Dance Festival, Malta
GymStars
ended the year on a high note with the organisation of a Christmas Gymnastics
and Dance Festival. The event was organised at the Cottonera Sports Complex
in front of a crowd of more than a 1000 persons. It included a show of gymnastics
and dance routines which saw the participation of all the club's members.
